TWO south Yemen separatists have been killed during clashes between police and protesters.
Officers fired on the demonstrators, thousands of whom had gathered in the southern port city of Aden to demand independence, Southern Movement member Fathi Ben Lazraq told AFP on Thursday.
The rally had been organised to mark the first anniversary of ex-president Ali Abdullah Saleh's ouster, Lazraq said.
A rival rally was held in the same spot by members of the Islamist Al-Islah (reform) party, in support of unity.
